I had a sliding glass patio door replaced with a Renewal by Andersen sliding glass door because I wanted to be capable to lock the patio door from the outside. Unfortunately, the locking mechanism on the Renewal by Andersen patio door has broken three years in a row. Even though it has a 10-year warranty, I was told this is the last time they are going to replace the lock for free. They suggested buying their hinged French patio doors which have a different locking mechanism.
